Michael harnesses his large law firm and clerkship experiences to deliver creative and effective solutions to Freundlich Law's clientele.

Michael's litigation practice focuses on entertainment, IP, First Amendment, and business matters. At Freundlich Law, Michael writes briefs, argues motions, performs research, drafts discovery, and develops strategies for these matters. These matters have concerned defamation, domain name disputes, royalty disputes, multiple facets of copyright law (e.g., infringement, termination, and preemption) , Anti-SLAPP, IP assignment/licensing agreements, artist management agreements, Cal. Labor Code §2855's "seven-year rule," and employment disputes.

Michael has also been called upon by high-profile individuals and high-tech companies to offer pre-litigation and general legal analysis and advice on a multitude of topics, including DMCA safe harbors, consumer protection and unfair competition laws, insurance coverage, and interpretation of complex IP royalty agreements.
